Fairytale

Story, rhymes and fairy tales have been the part of everyone’s life; they hold a special place in our heart especially the fairy tales. As my mother was an avid reader, I was exposed to a wide range of fairy tales; those colorful images with the glossy pages urged me to read them again and again. Being really young at that time I was quite fascinated by those stories, the creatures, the fairies, the characters. But now when most of us look back at those stories we feel that now we have grown old enough to enjoy those fairy tales but the truth is , those story  still hold a valuable spot in our lives because of the fact that they teach us some of the life’s toughest and meaningful lessons.

I am quite sure that we will never be old enough to learn something new, even great minds and scholars have agreed to the fact that our life is too short to learn everything and that each day brings about new floods of knowledge.

I recently saw Beauty and The Beast, one of the most loved fairy tale of all time, to be frank I was not very eager to watch it but under some circumstances I ended up watching the movie and to be honest I did not regret having seen it.

The movie as well as the story leaves you spellbound, no doubt that DISNEY movies are worth a watch but the story and its values have been portrayed so well that your lives seems connected to it. I remember the dialog the Beast had in the end where  he is disappointed and is regretting the fact that he judged people with their outer appearances and the wealth they had, which ended him turning up in a beast. It still has relevance with today’s world , there are still people who make mistakes and sometimes their mistake makes them regret for the rest of their life. As the story was a fairy tale it was supposed to end on a happy note but our lives are not fairy tales and they do not always end on a happy note.

I am just reminded of this song whose lyrics are below

You only need the light when it’s burning low

Only miss the sun when it starts to snow

Only know you love her when you let her go

Well you only know you’ve been high when you’re feeling low

Only hate the road when you are missing home

Only know you love her when you let her go

These are the lyrics of a very beautiful song “Let Her Go” by Passenger. The song is not only mesmerizing but the lyrics are such that it touches your heart and they possess such a deep meaning that only the sensitive ones can understand the true meaning of the above lines. I recall one proverb which says absence makes your heart grow fonder, I never realized its true meaning until one day I sat down just thinking about it and thoughts flooded my mind.

We humans have real bad habit of greediness, we want everything that is in the world and are not satisfied with whatever we have, to be precise the more we have, the more we want think that even i fall in this category because I am not an ideal or perfect human being but just one creature which is filled with greediness. We never realize the true value of the things that are in our life and once they are gone, we just long for them, be it someone you love, be it someone you care for, be it something you like to do, be it something that you had. People, life is too short you don’t even know will you even see the next day so let’s start valuing things that we have because everything is according to your perception, if we think we have everything we would have everything even if we have nothing and if we keep on believing that we have nothing, we would really have nothing even if we have everything.

We all have read these stories , let me know your favorite ones. And let me know what you think of this piece.

Here is a motivation series . DO read it

Fairy tales have a part in our lives, if we want to think about symbols, possibility and morality. They give us a shared cultural framework to inform and guide and help us stay bonded together. I’m glad we agree that they can still be relevant, no matter your age.

You’re right Raoul, fairy tales have a lot to teach us. Being a big kid at heart, there is little I enjoy more than sitting down to watch an animated children’s movie. I think often there is more in them for the adults than the kids 🙂
Thank you so much for the follow of my blog. Happy fairy-taling 🙂

I enjoyed your post. Some of my favorite stories are fairy tales like “Beauty and the Beast,” “Cinderella,” “Aladdin.” My parents read fairy tales to me when I was a kid, so I grew up loving them.
