This is the first in the series of Motivation. Through this I would like to reach out to people who need motivation and inspiration by presenting my views on lives of some the great personalities of our era.
“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller
I don’t know how to start but I was never interested in reading an autobiography but thanks to CBSE which has made the Autobiography of Helen Keller [Story Of My Life} a part of “Long Reading Text”, most of us whether we like it or not, have to read it.
On my part, the initial reluctance for not reading an autobiography was turned into excitement when I went through the pages of the book. I had known who Helen was but never ever I thought of seeing her life so closely. The things that she has written in the book changed the way I look at life and myself.
Helen Keller is one of the few individual who can be deemed as people having extraordinary courage and determination. She was deprived of sight and audio which we as humans take for granted. I mean I have everything, but still to be honest her choice of words is far better than the words I use in my articles. Her account of her life is so beautifully written that it captures the essence of the nature and the same time makes a familiar with the feeling of person who could not express her emotion in the way we can. It is motivating to read her life journey as she transforms from a frustrated little girl to a talented and calm woman. Winston Churchill rightly describes as the greatest woman of our age
In my opinion she is one of the few personalities that would keep on inspiring generation to come and in fact, she inspired generation, she is inspiring generations and will continue to inspire generations.
Whenever we feel like we are feeling low and need motivation then I think the book The Story Of My Life is the perfect choice because her journey will fill with determination and inspiration.
This is what I feel about her, Feel free to share your opinions too; I’ll be eagerly waiting for them. Here is the second one in the series
